High Performance Programs

What Is Academy All About?

The Academy program is a year-round program that provides the highest level of training that Suburban FC has to offer. It features a professional academy structure where players train Monday to Friday before or after school and play games on weekends. This program is the first of its kind in Nova Scotia. It is targeted toward the top U13, 15 and U17 players/teams at Suburban FC who have aspirations of playing at a higher level such as post-secondary or professional environments.

This program provides the tools, opportunities and contacts to help players reach different pathways as they develop and will help lead them to where they are best suited. As players age through the program, they will be exposed to post-secondary and professional coaches from Canada, the United States and abroad by attending showcase events, tournaments, friendlies and combines. Players in this program will train 4-6x weekly in all 4 pillars of the game (Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological).

Please note that this is an invite-only program.

Parent and Player Requirements

Players and parents must abide by the Policies and Procedures of the club.

Need financial assistance?

** We are a non-profit soccer club and we strive to balance low program fees (as low as possible) with superior coaching and training opportunities. If our fees present a barrier for your player, we encourage you to contact Suburban FC at admin@suburbanfc.ca to discuss payment options. There are also opportunities for financial support available through KidSport and Jumpstart **

What happens if there is bad weather and field closures?

** Unfortunately due to time constraints, there will be no make-up sessions or pro-rated refunds due to poor weather/field closure. Field closures and extreme weather conditions are beyond our control. We will always strive to ensure that programming is offered when we have access to fields and it does not jeopardize the safety of our players. Any cancellations will be clearly communicated via TeamSnap.  **
